Legends and legendette,
The infamous Bacon and egg roll. A staple for all Australians, it doesn't matter if you're at the footy early on a Saturday morning or having a late brunch over mimosas, somewhere on our menu there it'll sit. The ingredients are simple. They're in the bloody name for Christ sake. Bacon, Egg, Roll. Sure, add your sauce of choice. Hell, if it's done right they can charge whatever they bloody hell want because it is of our finest delicacy.
But I've noticed something over the past few years. An addition. An unwelcome addition. Why in the rudey poo hell are some establishments adding ingredients? I just got served a roll, with spinach on it. Spinach!!! Hawkey would be rolling in his grave right now, Steve just stopped wrestling salties when he heard the news, Don't even get me started on Harold Holt.
Please, for the love of god. Stop. We have had to deal with inflation, deflation, Covid and lockdowns. Pronouns and going woke. I'll live with it all. Not the green stuff. Some things can change, but others must remain the same.
