Booking a hotel
Post Body

We're told that in booking a hotel room it's best to avoid booking sites and their fees and contact the venue directly. They'll look after you, give you a better price and appreciate it. This seems best for both the business and the customer to me. However I've only done this once and they quoted me a considerably higher amount.

After a bad experience with a booking site I'd like to try again. What's others experience with booking hotels directly?
