Don't Americans sometimes cringe at Christmas songs?

Post Body
In my country, Christmas songs are often seen as very cheesy and only the older or very religious folks seem to actually enjoy them. I'm quite surprised with the amount of American pop artists who release Christmas songs or even albums, and also the amount of young folks who seem to unironically enjoy them. How are Christmas songs generally perceived in the US?
