How do these electric shopping carts work?

I just saw a post on r/all with this image: https://i.redd.it/17a2y8rik4361.jpg
And i have a few questions:
Are these carts just lined up like normal shopping carts and you can take one? Do you need to make a deposit or give CC?
Are there some "special carts" for very overweight people? Or do they have there own cart?
How may of these carts can cross in a aisle?
Can people without need use them? I guess Kids would have a fun with these carts (even when the carts are very slow).
Are these disinfected after every use?
