Almost everybody that I ask this question to can't remember the last time that they saw a foreign film so I open the question up to all of you.
There are two that I always tell people that they need to see.
The first of which is 1927's Metropolis. Short Synopsis: in a future city divided into the working class and the upper class, the son of the city's mastermind falls in love with a prophet in the working class that predicts the coming of a mediator between the classes.
The second movie is the 2008 Swedish horror film Let the Right One In. Short Synopsis: Oskar, an outcast and bullied boy, finds love and gets revenge through Eli, (pronounced Ellie) who has a dark secret.
