Post Body

Last year, the NFL revenue hit $13 billion. For the MLB, NBA and NHL leagues their annual revenues are $11 billion, $10 billion, $6.4 billion respectively. There are only 17 games in an NFL season which is significantly less than the number of games played in the MLB, NBA, or NHL (162 games, 82 games, 82 games).

I know the NFL is the most watched sports league in America but I find it really astonishing that they can generate SO MUCH money playing very few games particularly in comparison to the other leagues. 17 games is barely a season, lol.

How did the NFL became so profitable and how is it able to make more money than the other 3 leagues when it has the fewest games?
