Is playing (American) football a family tradition in the US?

Post Body

I've seen a couple of reddit posts that imply this, and also I've seen that college/pro football players tend to have a family lineage, so... is it sort of an American/Family tradition that if one kid (I guess boy) plays football, they all do. And it sort of passes down from father to sons... Are there certain families where if you are a son you are just expected to play football?
