I am just wondering but... I CANNOT be the only one who thinks it’s rude af when toward the end of class the professor asks if anyone has any questions, and a student then asks the professor a question that only benefits/concerns/pertains/matters to THAT STUDENT ONLY, and everyone else has to wait and listen to two people intimately chat about personal bs because the professor hasn’t actually dismissed class yet.
Example-
Prof.: Well, that’s all for today. Does anyone have any questions?
Self-absorbed student: Yes, professor. I sent you an email about personal issue that nobody else cares about, and I was just wondering about this specific thing within that issue that only affects me because I need an audience to listen to us discuss it. How would I, uniquely, go about...

I’m cool if you’re asking questions that will further understanding about whatever subject/concept was taught, BUT HOMIE, that personal stuff is literally what office hours are for. Or at least wait for the prof to dismiss class. This is none of my business and you are wasting my time.
I’m new-ish to reddit so sorry if this has already been posted, but also please leave links to those. I wanna see other opinions and insights.
