Writing abstracts for research that’s not done?

Post Body

I’m a masters student who is in the middle of a few projects. My professor has asked me to write two abstracts for a conference next year. However the research is yet done and I am not sure how I’ll solve a bunch of problems in these projects.

When I asked my advisor he essentially said “just write something”. I’m not sure what I can say in terms of results or methods even.

I’m looking for some advice on how to approach such abstracts.
