Botacco is in Germany
Post Body

I'm a full professor in computer science currently working in a Nordic country. I'm looking to move to Central Europe to escape the harsh winters.

I'm in the advanced stages of the selection process for a W3 position in Germany, but I've also been called for an interview as a full professor in Austria. While I still need to negotiate in Germany, I'm not particularly fond of the city. Local colleagues have mentioned that I might expect a salary in the range of €100-130K, along with a personal secretary, three full-time research positions, and half a technical person's time for IT management.

Does anyone have experience working in Austria? Besides preferring the city, would the salary and conditions be comparable to what I've mentioned for Germany?
