Hello everyone,
My situation is the following: I have an undergraduate degree in statistics, and I am finishing a master in statistics as well.
I am passionate about foundational aspects about my area and about questions concerning induction, evidence, etc. For this reason, I am considering a PhD in Philosophy.
However, I have the following question: with a PhD in philosophy, is it hard to become a professor in a mathematics/statistics department? Can a PhD in Philosophy limit my professional possibilities?
I am grateful for those who can help me! My dream is to become a statistics professor in a university (and to research both statistics and philosophy of statistics)
