for clarity: I’m in the nutrition sciences field, and the paper slightly dips into exercise science and psychology

I’ll preface with that I am new at writing a manuscript. I am in the process of converting my masters thesis to a manuscript and I’m having trouble in the results section.

The journal guidelines state to have no repetition of numbers in the tables and results section. My advisor and commitee member said a small degree of redundancy (eg. demographic info) is okay per their experience in the field and other articles from the journal.

However, all of my results section is generally presented in the tables, so I’m not sure how to proceed aside from getting rid of some tables. There is not much other existing data that I did not already include.

I plan on asking for advice from my committee if I cannot figure out a solution, but I was curious if anyone here had any advice or suggestions.

Thanks!
