I'm a 12 year career professional in environmental engineering and real estate development. For the past 5 years I've found myself correcting the PE and contract lawyers I hire more often than I should have to. This also branches into public policy where I just spent 2 years suing the local government to correct it's own mistake that I proved in court and it looks like I will have to do something similar again.
I considered testing for the bar without a JD but a friend who is a judge advised against it for procedural reasons.
I don't foresee myself seeking a position in corporate law or full time employment as such so a $100k tuition bill doesn't pencil.
Are there any programs that you would recommend for someone in my position as an extension of my existing career? I am in the US, but I've done work in 8 countries so a foriegn school is an option
