I have a thought in my mind to pursue a PhD after my MEM degree. I will be joining duke for my MEM program. My undergrad is in computer science and I have three research papers in AI / ML as a research assistant in my college (2 A conferences and Tier 1 journal). As far as I know MEM is a terminal degree and I have no idea if any one pursued a PhD after a terminal masters, that too a techno managerial one. I know Iโm not making sense right now, but I have an affinity towards research from my undergrad and want to pursue a PhD in the future. After scouring the web, I did find PhD in strategy, operations management to be a suitable one but not entirely sure about if itโs the right track for me. Also I want to move to the industry after getting a PhD but Iโm interested in pursuing academia as well. Any one who had a similar path or have any suggestions, please let me know in the comments or DM !
