Post Body

Is it wrong to accept a T32 award if I don't think I want a career in academia? I was encouraged to apply by my soon to be PhD advisor and was awarded the fellowship. They never asked if I wanted a research career so I never told them I think I'd like to work in industry (my field is one in which a PhD is very beneficial in industry work). The professor I wanted to work with didn't have funding of their own, so this was the only path to working with them, though I did receive other offers.
