I inquired about the status of the TT position job search following my Zoom interview. I specifically asked whether search has moved forward and received a reply stating, ‘The committee is still considering the applications.’ Does this imply that they have not yet proceeded further, or is it a standard response because they cannot indicate a rejection until a candidate is officially selected? TIA.
