Post Body

22 yo, dude.

Wanting to write this subreddit post is because I am now a Russian market operator in a Chinese company selling stuff to Russia ( OZ,WB,Yandex Market..etc) at my hometown Xiamen. This is a rare job located in the most unexpected tourist city borders nowhere with Russia, and our boss, что блины, he’s a Taiwanese who speaks Russian! Sounds funny right? I’ve once seen from a Taiwanese news there’s only 500-ish Taiwanese in Russia during the COVID so probably my boss was there lol yeah yeah so, all fun parts aside, what i basically do daily is just to upload images, check if the parcel are successfully delivered, and analyzing various statistics we need to be aware. Is, seriously, a boring shift to me whose MBTI is a ENFP. ENFP is known for socializing and producing creative values. This job apparently doesn’t fit.

I used to be an art student, and the reason I’ve had this strange tie with Russia is because back in school times I had a few Russian friends, so now in the mist of which direction to go in my life I’m brainstorming if I can use some of my art&designing talents to discover something more in the Russian market. Could be acting or advertising too. Creative jobs and dealing with people are what I’m good at, but my Russian are now not at a very satisfying level or, at this point I’ll go seek for a English-Russian or Chinese-Russian translator job instead of being a market operator. Good news is I’m learning it everyday from YouTube, and I’m learning it very fast.

I decide after half year or one year when I’m 23, I’ll quit this job when I’m at least fully capable of this work. and then go to a language school in either Moscow or Saint Petersburg.

But before thinking way too far, I have just know being an operator is the only thing I can do relating to a job in Russia. Is not what I’m passionate about, but I believe is a breakthrough point for other potential opportunities. Because instead of knowing nothing, I can now assume there are probably a lot of similar or equivalent jobs, like mine, over headhunter in St Petersburg or Moscow..

Anyway people I wanna ask, does the younger generations in Russia has the habit of ordering stuff from live-streaming, or YouTube bloggers? If they do, what kind of platform I already know platform like OZ, WB, Yandex market, what are some forums? I only know дзен

Thank you for y’all who’s patient enough to finish this long paragraph, I thank you for your kindness.
