Smell of gas inside the cabin

Car: 2016 MB GLA 250
There is the smell of gasoline (more like kerosene) inside my car sometimes. It usually happens when I first turn it on and have the AC (heat or cooling) running but goes away after a while. The smell is is not too bad but strong. There are no engine codes and the car runs fine.
Do you know what the problem is? Is there cause for concern?
