Is bench testing an alternator going to tell me anything a multimeter can't?
Post Body
My 2010 Hyundai Accent died yesterday, the stereo cut out and 10 min later the engine stalled. Jumping it works, but the battery is draining as I start it unassisted. Obviously a problem with the alt or something in between it and the battery. If the alt checks bad, replace it.
Is there a need to remove it and bring it to a shop?
