Car not starting

Got a '07 Mazda 6 2.3l manual and the shifters and synchro were done so I put a new transmission in and now it isn't starting. It will crank but that's it. The front seal and the valve cover need to be replaced as well but only found that out after putting the new tranny in. Anyone have a clue what could be causing it not to turn after swapping out the transmission?
