I recently overfilled my oil when doing a service on my car and I attempted to use a small hose and a hand pump to remove some through the dipstick tube as I have multiple times before however now I have dropped it also there was 3 small straps of cellotape around the hose. It originally was still in the dipstick tube and I attempted to retrieve it with my endoscope and hook and claw pick up tool with no luck and now it jas been pushed down into the sump of my car I know realistically it needs to be removed via dropping the sump but this is a heap of a job for my driveway so l'm wondering would it be okay to leave it or no. I assume there is a grate for the pick up of the sump so it should not make its way into my oil pump but am worries about it melting under the heat any ideas ? The hose is thin and about 8 or 9 inches long the common sort of hose from a disposable household spray spray bottle.
