Hyundai i10 black smoke when revving car and a thudding noise with engine light came on.

Sorry for bad title I’ll try and describe it better here. Hyundai i10 2011, 133,000 miles. Had low engine oil and I filled up there and then but while the engine light came on I could smell a strong Smokey smell and the car was very bumpy when I drove it to park. Plus on the way home once the engine oil was put in the engine light didn’t go off and it was extremely bumpy the whole way. Can hear the bumps from outside the car too. My dad revved the car and a black smoke from the exhaunt was released and sparks too. Anyone know the cause/ cost to fix?
