For the past few years, my 2007 Ford Mustang AC/heater has not been working. I live in a cold climate in the Midwest during the winter season where presently it’s cold. I think this could be an expensive repair. When the AC/heater went out years ago, I thought it was the blower motor resistor. But when I switched it, it lasted a day or so and then it would stop working. I returned it to get another one and then just the same. It was stopped working but I smoked a little bit of burnt smell. Then I bought the blower motor itself. And yet again this was not the answer to the problem. When I turn the knob nothing happens on any of the 1-4 settings. But you can feel the heat when it’s cold outside as I’m driving. During the hot summer months, you can feel the coolness as I’m driving as well. I think it’s going be some sort of an internal electrical issue which I believe is expensive. About 3 years ago I paid almost $2000 to Ford to get the ECM replaced. I don’t know how much more I want to keep putting into the car. It’s a beautiful car. It only has 95,000 miles. It drives fine. The LED radio/clock no longer shows the numbers or letters, but it does play the radio and CD player. But does anybody know why my AC/heat is no longer working? How much do you think this type of repair would cost? Lastly, even though this is not working, I had the water pump replaced last month as well.
