My car from 2006 has an open recall, my progressive app says I can get it fixed for free at a dealership. Is this true?
Post Body

To specify, I own a 2006 Ford Fusion v6 Sel. I have it insured with progressive, for liability only. I notice my app says my vehicle has an open recall, that I should contact a dealership to get it repaired.

I did some digging, and it seems itโ€™s referring to a brake design flaw, causing more pressure to be required to brake. Iโ€™ve noticed this symptom in my vehicle as well, in fact. I was concerned about it because it is dangerous if I need to brake hard and fast, it could literally cause a crash.

My question is, is this repair gonna be free or even available? Is it available to me? Iโ€™m sorry if these sounds like an uneducated question, forgive my ignorance. Thank you.
