To specify, I own a 2006 Ford Fusion v6 Sel. I have it insured with progressive, for liability only. I notice my app says my vehicle has an open recall, that I should contact a dealership to get it repaired.
I did some digging, and it seems itโs referring to a brake design flaw, causing more pressure to be required to brake. Iโve noticed this symptom in my vehicle as well, in fact. I was concerned about it because it is dangerous if I need to brake hard and fast, it could literally cause a crash.
My question is, is this repair gonna be free or even available? Is it available to me? Iโm sorry if these sounds like an uneducated question, forgive my ignorance. Thank you.
