I drive a 2011 Chrysler 200 3.6.
Two weeks ago, I was stopped at a light and my fuel gauge suddenly went down super quick. The next day, I filled up my tank, drove about 10 miles to work, and the gauge was already at a quarter full.
I didn't smell any gas, didn't see any leaks. I brought it to a shop and they suggested it was a float issue. So they replaced the fuel pump.
This past Saturday, I filled up my tank, and it wasn't until about Tuesday when the gauge finally went below the full mark. It's possible that the tank ended up more than full.
I was just driving home, and when I parked I let my car idle for a couple of moments and the gauge suddenly went up. You would have missed it if you weren't paying attention, but it the gauge did go up.
...Is this normal? -i don't think it is, and unless I see differently I'm bringing it back to the shop tomorrow. I don't know if maybe something else is possibly off, ...a sensor? A connector?
All thoughts and input are greatly appreciated.
