Recently followed some instructions on how to fix the external door handle for my highlander. I was nearly finished with my work, when accidentally, the door was closed before I could test to make sure the actuators worked properly. The driver-side passenger door is now shut, the power locks click on all 4-doors, the handle does not release the door from the inside or out.
I have the inside door panel off, I can manipulate the actuators for the handle and the lock, but the door doesnt release. The window can go up and down without issue. I've checked and re-checked that the actuators are in the correct position (green goes on the bottom) but the door will not budge, I'm almost certain that something with the latch is jammed.
I am desperate to not have to take my car into the shop to have it opened for, what I imagine to be, hundreds of dollars because its closed. Any information, video, or other thread that assists will be insanely helpful.
