Do early 2000s Acuras Rust?
Post Body

So, I'm in NC, buying myself a car. I found a really awesome deal, it's 2006 Acura TL with ~150K miles for $4.5K with very decent visual condition (from a dealer, otherwise the price would make at least some sense). Trying to understand the cause of the price, I pulled the Carfax on it and found very meticulous service records during it's entire life, recently (a bit over a year ago) changed belts, transmission fluids and filter, regular oil changes. BUT it spent 2013-2019 in DC (the rest of the life was in Tennessee). How likely/badly would you expect it to be rusted? Was the factory antitrust coating good on these cars? If yes, what could be the catch?

Ik I'm a bit paranoid, but I am in college and won't have funds to fix if something breaks.

Since I don't have a ride rn, a cost of checking one out is ~150-180 on the shop Uber, so wanna make sure the odds are worth the investment.

Ty very much in advance!
