Control arm replacement advice needed.

I'm working on a 2008 chevy malibu classic 3.5L V6. Passenger side control arm. Cannot for the life of me get the ball joint into the knuckle. It's at an angle and I can't seem to maneuver the hub or the arm itself to press up. The forward bolt and bushing are loosely installed. I have tried inserting ball joint into the knuckle first, and then trying to install the rear bushing and forward bolt afterwords but that is proving to be difficult as well. Any advice?
