Service ESC and service traction light on, as well as the engine light. Map sensor and Mass Air Flow sensor replaced. Still shaking. Even at lower speeds the shake is still there. When switching gears it hesitates and wants to die. Wheel locked up on front passenger side and was lava hot. Drives fine for a few minutes when getting over 40 mph is starts the "knocking, shaking" Or just if drove for longer than 10 miles or so it starts up but the worst at high speeds. Once we replaced map sensor and maf sensor it stopped shaking at low speeds and stopped wanting to die at stops, but the shaking is still very bad at high speeds. This is driving me nuts bc it is not consistent. Last summer it started slowly here and there, months went by between shakiness with no issues but now it is barely drivable. Had the transmission "checked" and they said nothing is wrong with the transmission. There seems to be no play on the suspension/axles, caliper etc so I crossed that out but I'm not sure why the front passenger wheel locked up and is so hot. Also, I found that if the shaking starts, I can stop the car let it cool down for a couple hours and the shaking is gone until I drive a few miles again.
Plan is to replace front brake pads, throttle body, crankshift position sensor, and speed sensor. After that if still shaking/dying I plan to replace transmission range sensor, and cam actuator solenoid.
I have heard so many different things to replace online doing research and it seems like I'm getting no where. Any suggestions is much appreciated.
