Hello mechanic friends. I need some help!
I have a 2012 Kia Forte Koup. I bought it a week ago used. I drove it before buying it everything seemed fine with no issues. I drove about an hour to go pick it up. On the way home I had the cruise control set and it suddenly disengaged and when I would try to accelerate the rpmās would go up but it wouldnāt accelerate. I ācoastedā briefly and could give it a little gas and it would then start to go. It did this 2 times that day. I drove it to work for about a week again about an hour-ish each way. I noticed that if I didnāt run cruise control it wouldnāt cut out like it did before so I just ran it that way and figured it was an issue with the cruise. On Thursday I parked the car with no issues. Last night I went to drive it and there was a check engine light on. Along with the check engine light it took longer to start as well and that wasnāt normal. I have a code reader and it gave me the code P0335 Crankshaft position sensor A circuit. Oriely had the part in stock so I bought it and put it in this morning. I cleared the code and started the car. Again it started but it was hesitant to start. I drove it down the block to see if everything was working. The issue that I had with what I thought was the cruise control is back. Now when I would accelerate I could only give the car very little gas to make it go. If I gave it too much gas it would rev a little but not move forward. So I drove it back home and was going to do some more research. When I parked the car it was running and after I turned the car off now it will not start. Thereās no codes popping up now. From what Iāve read online several issues can make that code pop up. The sensor that I already replaced. Timing chain and belt. I looked at the belt and it looks fine to the untrained eye. The other option is the spark plugs or wires causing a misfire. (I havenāt checked this yet) or the ECM I wanted to get some advice here before spending a bunch of money on something that I may not need. Any help would be greatly appreciated. From the picture that is posted it shows 1/3 all show the same code with different variations after the main code.
