Hello all
I have a 2009 Lexus LS 460 AWD with 153,000 miles. There seems to be a weird “rattling” noise on the right side of the engine when facing towards the car. This sound is very noticeable when at cold start and seems to go away after a few minutes . My cousin who works at a car repair shop said it’s normal due to its age and mileage, but for better peace of mind he said for me to ask online for another opinion lol. I’ll attach a video on the sound
Hopefully it’s “normal” and not a foreshadowing of $$$ being spent
Engine oil was changed at 150k miles and coolant as well . Spark plugs changed at 152,500 miles and had original ones. Transmission fluid seems to never been changed as it has had 3 previous owners, and scared to drain and fill from old superstition (but will if need be after getting it tested). Car seems to have a new engine after the first owner had a collision accident at around 33k miles.
Thank you!
