Diagnosing KR

I had engine misfires at idle and KR on moderate accel. 1996 gm 3.1 engine.
Figured out my egr was sticking open. And might cause kr also. Removed egr. P0300 misfire went away but still have kr on moderate accel. (1.0-5.8 KR)
Previous owner did plugs and wires and other, but doesn’t mean their bad.
BUT, what’s my best way of Properly Diagnosing this? KR.
