How do Democrats convince uneducated and uninformed Americans to vote for them?
Post Body

The biggest problem in US politics right now is education and information. Period. The biggest predictor of being a Trump supporter is being uneducated and uninformed. The largest problem Republicans have is not even being misinformed per se, it’s being not exposed to any information at all. Arguably, by far the best predictor of being a Democrat is reading 10 books per year and/or read peer-reviewed academic journals/publications every month. Unlike before, even physical newspaper readers today (like myself) lean Democrat.

Democrats’ largest current obstacle will always be overcoming the fact that only 40% (I’m being really extremely generous there statistically) of American adults are proficient in English and math at a 12th grade level. Obviously many people vote for Democrats for less than logical and ideal reasons as well, but it’s far more true for Republicans statistically, and for the purpose of discussing winning elections, we won’t worry about them. How do Democrats win the votes of “uneducated” and “uninformed” voters who don’t/can’t come to the factually correct opinions regarding many policies and beliefs (economic policy, the military, etc.).
