"Are we the bad guys?"

I found this article yesterday, and I was wondering what liberal and left types thought of it. In it, a journalist examines some of his presumptions and tries to see things from a different perspective. In the process, he comes up with some interesting conclusions, some of which I completely agree with. However, given the difference in base assumptions, I'm curious what people closer to his world view think.
