I just have a general question about case steps in the divorce process. The most recent step I was advised that my legal team was doing was waiting 60 days as per required in Texas before requesting the judge to grant a default judgement in my case. I was able to look up my case number on the county website and it only says that my case has been started and did not match the step that my legal team is saying the case is on. Is that normal/should I be concerned that the county website step in process doesn't match what the legal team says? The reason I ask is because the paralegal I've been in contact with through this whole process seems very disorganized. Examples include claiming they sent initial documents for me fill out and return even though they hadn't, relying on me to communicate with my STBX spouse about setting a time to meet up so they can be served, and most recently on June 20 they said they sent me an email on the 18th and when I said I had not received anything they said never mind that there was a mistake and no email was sent. I asked for an update on my case and they said they would do so, but today is July 8 and still no update.
Are my expectations being unreasonable?
