3 exceptions allowing warrantless enter into a home
Post Body

I know there are 3 exceptions to the warrant requirement for LEOs to enter a home. I know one is consent. I can't remember the other 2.

Could someone please provide me those other two exceptions and examples for each? Also, I'd like to get the names of the cases and jurisdictions where those exceptions were clarified (I'm in the 8th Ciruit).

I also understand that Article 1, Section 8 of the Iowa Constitution gives me the same protections as the federal 4th amendment. So any guidance specific to my state would be helpful.

Lastly, any recommendations for a good civil rights attorney in Iowa?

ETA

I just found out that there are only 2 exceptions recognized by SCOTUS, not 3: consent and exigent circumstances.

I want to extend my thanks to everybody for responding.
