Police telling non custodial parent to “ hide” child from custodial parent?
Post Body

Parents were never married, so in ohio custody/ residential parent defaults to mother. Mother left child temporarily with father by mutual agreement due to relocation for job.

Father and spouse are now leveling allegations of neglect, among other things, against mother. They are filing for custody, and claiming they were told be a law enforcement officer that if mother attempts to pick up child, they are to “ hide” child.

There are no pending charges, no interim custody orders in place.

Is there any chance that law enforcement would tell them this, and if so, is it legal?
