Question about car purchase

This isn’t a super serious question I’m mostly just curious. I bought a car from CarMax a few days ago with a pre-approved loan from Navy Federal. I just got a voicemail saying they need me to swing by because they forgot to have me sign the check before they can deposit it. I’m mostly wondering if there’s any sort of weird legal loophole to where they slipped up and now I have a free car. I know that’s 99% not how that works but I’m curious
