Help with giving a character a German surname

So I have a character who's surmame is O'Samhradh. He's of Irish descent and comes from a lineage of knights born on the summer solstice. In his story he eventually travels to a German-ish place (it's fantasy, not a real place, just Gothic German inspired) and changes his name.

Do any German speakers have suggestions for his surname? Something evocative of the same idea, being the son of summer. I thought I'd ask German speakers rather than just use google translate and get things like "Sommersohn" or "Absommer". Or would those work as surnames? Any input would be nice, and thank you for reading!
