First, I understand that there are parts of Revelation that are clearly symbolic. However, there are a large amount of parts of Revelation that are literal first and then carry symbolic undertones/overtones.

That said, I believe that the 144,000 will be literal Jews who will live in during the tribulation (I’m not here for a debate on this). I believe they will be marked by the angels with both the Father’s and the Son’s names, being called to go out into the world, taking up the mantle of prophecy from the two witnesses who prophesied in the first half of the trib. I believe the 144,000 will do the very same thing (with or without supernatural signs; there’s no description one way or the other) in the second half of the trib.

That all out of the way, I wonder: Will those 144,000 all be of one physical race (my guess would be middle eastern), or will their Jewish nature be purely spiritual, with their number comprising of many different races? I would sooner believe the latter.
