My mom and step dad were abusive (physically and emotionally) to me growing up. When they were angry at my bio dad, the abuse worsened. My mom has committed many sins, including multiple threats to k!ll my husband with no further justification than “he’s poor” and “he’s hot tempered”. They are supposedly devout Evangelical’s, but they are also unrepentant and unapologetic. I don’t feel safe around them.

But they are painting me as a villain who is dishonoring them by not visiting them or bringing my daughter to see them. They are spreading this information across their church and our community, crying about how they don’t deserve this treatment. My entire family has turned against me as a result, telling me I’m going to die young for my actions. But why would I bring my daughter around people who have threatened to murd3r her father anytime they are angry with him? Especially when they have a history of taking out their anger on a fathers child?
