Not sure if love is the right word here or respected but I was looking through some old family photos and recognized one with my parents posing with Jack on the UofT campus.
I decided to read more into the guy and Im surprised by how many people showed up to his funeral processions from downtown Toronto all the way to the house of commons and I wanted to know what was about him that made him so popular? All I could find was his position as the opposition and his pushes in social activisim and environmentalism but I feel this can go for a lot of Canadians. What made Jack so special?
Edit: Watching some interviews and comments I'm getting the idea he was just a genuine and likable guy. I was wondering if anyone who lived in his district/ward could give insight to the effects of his policies when he was in positions such as deputy mayor and city councillor?
Because it felt like he was talking for you without pandering to you, a concept that almost all current politicians are untouched by.
