I'm fairly new to this country, 28m Asian. Spent my childhood in Europe so pretty familiar with general western culture/customs and have no language barrier.
But somehow I find it harder in Canada to make new friends than in Europe... I gather it's the people's general mentality (rather relaxed, keeping to themselves/family, less 'solidarity' mind and more individualistic and such.
I honestly find it nearly impossible to make new friends as I'm not in school (I'm working). Some groups I'm in they are mostly interested in the group activity than making friends... they would say 'they did this and this with their 'friends' the other day' almost as if they're implying this group isn't friends.
But then don't Canadians get lonely if they always keep to themselves? I know you guys are also humans (lol) and get lonely if you keep feeling like how I'm feeling.
Any comments?
