I have seen a lot of British homes that have gravel all at the front of their property. It just seems like a lot of gravel for parking the odd car or 2. Living in N. America typically we have a driveway that has ashphalt, the rest of the front has a garden/grass lawn. In fact in my city we have to have lawn in front but they are getting more progressive with allowing gardens instead of lawn. I’m just really curious why people wouldn’t want more greenery at the front of the house. Is it a personal preference thing? They don’t want the bother of maintaining the front and the back garden?
