My social life outside of being at home is very different. That’s where I can be completely myself, but at home I am emotionless, harsh, and not open towards my AP because they don’t know how to handle emotions. They criticize me and think I’m crazy if they see me smile from a text, or talk happily on the phone with friends. Vulnerability is a sign of weakness to them, so I never showed any emotions in front of them. This led them to think this is exactly who I am outside of home towards other people, making them wonder how do I even have friends. What are you like at home vs not being home?
