I saw this flyer/ad and I love how it’s diverse but what stands out to me is the Asian man placed in the middle he looks rugged with tattoos, more masculine and not the usual bts type. I feel like this needs to happen more, Asian men should be seen more as sex symbols, strong and desirable. They deserve to grace the covers of main stream designer clothing magazines and adds. I know that Asian men have been getting more recognition lately in media especially tik tok. I, as a black woman I’ve always found Asian men attractive and never fetishize their features, phenotypes etc. I know how it feels fetishized as a black woman with big lips and curves. I have an Asian American partner whom I admire and love so much and seeing anything that’s inclusive to Asian men makes me happy! He’s so strong, confident and assertive and I hope to see more of those characteristics portrayed in film and television for Asian men because that’s how they truly are with a beautiful rich culture and background.
