I have no idea if this is the appropriate place for my question, but I don’t really know where else get opinions on this other than my friends IRL though none of them are Asian.
My Asian boyfriend broke up with me recently, and I suspect it may be because his dad didn't approve of us dating because I am white, specifically Mediterranean. He really did not like me, but his mom loved me.
We got along so well, are attracted to one another, have similar interests and lifestyles, and I’m his first everything at 31 since he was a virgin when we met.
Dating is really rough these days, more so in the Bay Area it seems. It would be so much easier to just work things out, but he started to pull away when I told him I’d love to get our own place and marry you one day. I have some theories as to why he did, but I feel like this is probably the biggest since I never got a real reason I felt was believable still. And I can see him not wanting to tell the truth if this is the case.
How common is this in Asian households?
