For the first time in forever, my mother has acne! Which is weird, because she's my skin idol. It's largely due to not cleansing properly and living in a country that has a lot of dust and high sun exposure.
She has normal skin, with some pigmentation and no known irritants.
Right now, she's patch testing some Eucerin products, a cleanser (pH 5.5) and SPF day cream with nice things in it like licorice root. She's got a light AHA toner to introduce later, and a BHA on the spots themselves. Though, besides the cleanser and moisturiser, I'm not sure what she's been actually using ¬__¬
Her spots aren't active, just clogged pores tbh, it's been a week and they are looking a lot flatter and less aggressive.
My RRS haul arrived in a week (!) and I realised that a lot of the stuff I ordered for me, will work great for her, like my Mizon gel and the Etude Dust Cut stuff. She's a no-frills lady, so she won't be using a 10 step routine, just as basic as she can. She said no to a Night Cream, but I'm thinking the Mizon gel cream is super light so maybe she won't mind as much?
I'm thinking of ordering:
Etude Dust Cut Facial Mist
Mizon Snail Recovery Gel Cream
Mizon Skin Power Original First Essence (Anyone tried this? I can't find many reviews!)
My current limitations are:
I don't have a lot of money
I live in the UK and getting Japanese products is really difficult
Time sensitive - she's leaving end of January
She lives in a hot (example, today 32 degrees Celsius as is the rest of the week), dusty (yellow dust/haze from the sahara) country and feels like she's cooking in oil when she uses any oil to cleanse.
ALL and any help, super super appreciated!
Also, shout out to /u/picoprince, my mom loved your blog post on the Etude Dust Cut line, and is excited to try it out!
