I'm watching her live this morning and noticing, once again, that the kids are missing so much!!
And then I think, maybe my way of doing things is wrong?
So, if I had Ashley's kids, this is how we would start our day, maybe I was too much of a "hands-on" parent?! What do yall think?
Just Neyland and Trustin
7-7:30- I would already be up and had a cup of coffee before they get up! They wake up and have breakfast. We talk about how they slept, their dreams, and what we're doing today during breakfast.
Wash up (face, neck, ears, butts(not potty trained), teeth...), comb hair, get dressed, and ready for the day.
WE are going to do whatever I had planned for the morning. Maybe inside playing, or maybe errands. Something fun and educational! Some type of teaching activity. Whatever it is I'm doing it with them! I'm going to keep them entertained.
9:30-10ish-snack
Get Active! We're going to ride bikes, play with balls outside, playground, pool, sprinkler, bubbles, something outside if possible to keep them busy but getting fresh air and sunlight! So important for a child's growth!!
12-12:30ish- Wash up, Lunch, wash up again.
1-1:30ish- Nap time!
During nap time I would clean up or do whatever I needed to do as a mom. (Or in Ashley's case, play with bows)
I have 7 kids. This is always how we started our days when I was home, when I was working it was different of course! Routine is so important!!
I see that her kids are sent off to fend for themselves. Then they come "interrupt" her when they need something. How are they learning? Where's the teaching, where's the love, where's the encouragement?? There's no togetherness or happiness. Nothing. Just "here, take some candy and get out of here".
What a sad life for a child. This, in my opinion, is a form of neglect!
