I’ve noticed a lot of the old “fitness” and business ig influencers pivoting to teaching spirituality feminine embodiment and (very weak misinformed) tantra / psychology . It’s really bothering me as I entered into that space in 2016 when it really didn’t have any large eyes on it and was hosting woman’s ritual circles, workshops, etc. at my local yoga studio within my community/ I moved to Colorado and took a hiatus from teaching besides reading (real) tarot at local events and parties. After giving so much it did feel good to take a step out for awhile/ this community and work is really intense. In the mean time I watched a lot of “fitness” influencers shift from workout content to teaching about spirituality astrology feminine masculine energy etc. and it really took me off guard/ when Tik tok blew up then witchy stuff or spiritual stuff flooded the mainstream and became so diluted. Idk why it makes me so uncomfortable. A lot of it does because these people have huge followings and misleading them about tantra and spirituality when they have never truly studied and immersed themselves in it, it was just the jest trendy thing to “coach” people on which leaves to a lot of shame and misinformation on what is feminine masculine etc. a lot of cultural appropriation happens this way too when you have hundreds or thousands of people telling you to go do an ayahuasca retreat or burn sage use hape everyday etc. this is what leads to white woman leading a sound bowl session and calling themselves “shamanic” or even a shaman. thoughts and opinions? Examples? Amanda bucci, Emily Duncan (who I went to high school with) . The example I’m posting is someone I thought always did biz/ money content and this horrifying launch photoshop has an ashae energy all over it lol and I’m not saying I want to gatekeeper the spiritual community I believe it can truly help people but it feels fake for money and clout idk
